About the Journal

The Journal of Sharia and Civil Law (JUSTICEMU) is an international, peer-reviewed, and open-access journal that publishes high-quality research in Islamic Law (Sharia) and Civil Law from both theoretical and practical perspectives. It aims to foster critical, comparative, and interdisciplinary discussions on the interaction between Sharia principles and contemporary legal systems in global and national contexts. The journal serves as a platform for scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to disseminate original studies related to Islamic jurisprudence, comparative law, family law, constitutional and administrative law, economic law, human rights, and legal reform. Guided by its mission to integrate classical Sharia scholarship with modern legal studies, JUSTICEMU promotes justice, ethical governance, and social harmony through a rigorous double-blind peer-review process in accordance with COPE ethical standards. Published biannually (June and December), it accepts manuscripts in English and Arabic under an open-access policy to ensure broad accessibility and global academic engagement.
