Focus and Scope

The Journal of Sharia and Civil Law (JUSTICEMU) publishes original research articles, reviews, and conceptual papers that explore the dynamic relationship between Islamic Law (Sharia) and Civil Law in both theoretical and applied contexts. The journal encourages interdisciplinary and comparative approaches to legal studies, aiming to bridge classical Islamic jurisprudence with modern legal developments.

Areas of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) and legal theory (ushul al-fiqh)
  • Comparative law between Sharia and civil legal systems
  • Family law, constitutional law, and administrative law
  • Economic and commercial law in Islamic and civil contexts

JUSTICEMU upholds a rigorous double-blind peer-review process and adheres to COPE publication ethics. It is published biannually (June and December) and welcomes manuscripts in English and Arabic under an open-access policy to promote global scholarly exchange.
