The Journal of Social Studies and Community Development (SOCDEV) focuses on research and scholarly studies in the fields of social sciences, community issues, and community development. Its scope includes social issues and societal change, community empowerment through participatory approaches, and sustainable development aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In addition, the journal addresses topics such as public policy, good governance, social advocacy, social entrepreneurship, and community-based innovation. SOCDEV also highlights studies on local wisdom and its role in social development, as well as the strengthening of civil society, democracy, and social justice. This journal is published biannually, in January and July.
